My Wildhorses disc conversion arrived along with the rampage soft top. Going to install these as well as replace the axle seals on the D30 while it's apart and finish my heater.

Picked it up from the shop, fresh 4.56s F/R with new bearings, ball joints, u joints, seals and rear brakes. Finally 4x4 again ;D

Now its time to pull the motor, need to change out a throwout bearing and hopefully just an intake manifold gasket to maybe fix some oil consumption issues.

Not a good Bronco day here.

Add Drop Trac Bar on my 2.5" Lift. Track Bar was too long. 60 Mins later back to what I had before. The good news, I didn't weld it!

Test fitted new Tachometer, everything worked. Connected everything. Got nothing. Might have blown something up in the tachometer. The good news, it lights up and looks cool.

Blaster heater motor installed Sunday. Working great. Except for heat temp is marginal. Very hot before so something bad happened along the way. Temp gauge is sitting at about 175 degrees. The good news, it blows like a ________ !

Whenever you use "soft top" and "heater" in the same paragraph, always remember to pre-heat the top!
Either put it inside with the kin folk, or in a warm sunny place, or use a space heater to get the job done.
The cold makes it shrink about 43 inches!

Ok, so a slight exaggeration, but only slight...

Stock bar? Should fit just fine.
What you may have run into is the usual shift that happens when you disconnect. You need to move the body over the axle a bit to line the upper eye up with the new bracket.
Well, at least hopefully that was the issue. Your results may vary of course, but most of us have been there.

Some use come-a-longs, ratchet straps, or equivalent. Others just use the steering system. With the wheels on the ground, simply turn the steering wheel. As you turn, the body shifts over the axle and it's easy to line up the mount.
Helps to have a helper here, but it's not impossible to do by yourself.

What type of ignition do you have?

None of us even drove ours this time, but ten of us Bronco types, including some regular members here, gathered for lunch on Friday for a heck of a good time.
Gathered first at Wayne Hanson's shop and took our sweet time getting out of there. Then at our favorite Chinese buffet (no really, it's a good one!) took our time again to eat and talk about "stuff" some more. Then took almost as long to part ways in the parking lot after.
And in spite of it's long standing reputation, I think I'm still full...:p

Definitely a good showing and a good time.
Can't wait to do it again...

Installed a rebuilt 351 Windsor from a '90 Van. 50 oz balanced sytem/serpentine belt is killing me. Two weeks making tiny little changes, now may have to adapt old 3G alternator in place of original 90 alternator.
Designing this stuff at the factory much be something else.
