Did you return the tumblin one? What was the issue? I currently have his power steering setup uninstalled.

Let me see it?

It was the ford racing bracket that bolts to where the stock AC normally is. There was no way it was fitting there. Tumblin was very good to deal with it. I just couldn't make it work and i couldn't get a picture of a motor in a stock frame where it did work. So...i moved on.

Just an update
Working thru bugs and challenges. One step at a time. Got the motor set in and transfer case clocked at an angle that i believe will clear the transmission pan. Got power steering setup on the front drive. New product from KRC with reservoir built in to the tank.

Couple issues working thru. Oil filter was hitting frame. I cut out the gusset and welded in a smaller corner brace. Alternator is pretty close to steering box, probably space the steering box off another 1/4". Installed the front clip and had to trim the inner fender slightly to fit around the motor.

Next up I want to get it wired just enough to kick the motor over. I set the timing on this one and its the first coyote I've taken apart.

Wiring will start this week and ill button up the fuel. Space is quite the premium to even hook up the wiring.

Coming along. Not sure why the upload rotates my pictures. Sorry!

Which wire harness did you decide to go with? Ford Control Pack?

Only one item tonight. Remote mounted trans cooler. Derale setup and 6r80 fittings from power by the hour. I’ll turn the fan on in the pcm tune.

Work is busy, but try to tackle atleast one item a day, even if it’s a small one.

Yea that spacer will give you clearance and a better angle on the steering shaft. You didnt end up trimming back the passenger inner fender? Any clearance issues there? Also, I heard that the only issue on the PBH control pack is you'll hit a snag with the reverse lights. I am trying to sort out a solution, I will keep you posted. Ill be diving into the rest of the wiring once my dash is painted.

Nickm - Which Air Intake and Radiator did you end up with?

The radiator I will be using I got off CJ Pony parts. Its a champion 3 row, it was around 200. Im curious on intake setups as well. Havent pulled the trigger on one yet.

I have mocked up the BC intake. Fits well.

What will you do with the "Steam Port" hose on the top, drivers side of the motor? This is an extra coolant line compared to normal. Not sure if this can be plugged off or not?

Which starter did you get that fits and does not hit the frame? The Solenoid ob a typical Coyote Starter does not clear. Needs to be "Clockable".

Steam port i always block off, its not needed. Its made for expansion tank style setup. Cap it and run a standard radiator with overflow tank. Coyote starter...mine fits. You used bc motor mounts, thats probably why it doesn't. 96-04 starter is slightly smaller, 17+ coyote starter is a little smaller. Just look up mod motor starters. Coyote is a mod motor.

This starter fits perfect in my setup. No frame contact. BC motor mounts.

Got a few updates. A few items working out, fighting a few others.

Motor is in and running. Got my radiator and fan mocked up to where they will fit. Got my hydroboost bolted up. I've got plenty of room there.

My next step will be to connect the brake lines, run the hydrboost lines, and get a steering column in it. At that point it should go around the block.

Issue I'm fighting. My angle of transfer case to front diff is pretty significant. Driveshaft is going to bind. Trying to raise motor...lower trans, etc to get less of an angle on it. Cant clock the dana 20 any lower as it will hit the trans. Got to work thru that or go with a high angle driveshaft from WH. ANway...heres some shots for ya.

**If anyone knows why this site rotates my photos let me know how to change it****

Hope you guys didn’t think I gave up!

Well..motor and trans are at the height they are staying.
Gonna have to either make a crossmember similar to a driveshaft loop to clock the Dana 20 at a lower angle or try a high angle driveshaft from high angle driveline. Only problem there is I don’t know if the high angle flange will clear the side of the 6r80.

I will fight that later as it doesn’t keep me from moving on. I got the front clip scuffed and shot in black epoxy. Engine bay is starting to look legit!

I got my hydroboost lines all ran. Worried about the mystery Delphi steering box I have. Output is a 17mm DD so need to order that. One of the fittings in it I’m worried is bottoming out before tightening. Earls makes a long reach 18mm, but I can’t find a long reach 16mm. If you know of one let me k ow.

Next up will be getting the column in and figuring out a shift linkage that will work.

Cheers.
