Need your opinion on color choice and with or without rollbar

Getting close to buttoning up some cosmetic details on the barn find. I recently painted the steel wheels the original Ford gray for the Bronco. I mocked up the hubcaps as the wheels are still drying and shot a light coat of the same gray on the roll bar (which is also mocked up and not installed).

What do you think about the gray? Should I go Black, Oxford white, rig color, or ???

Should I not install roll bar?

I think the roll bar looks good in black, maybe white. You need a full family cage if you have your family riding in the back; that sport roll bar will not protect them and will barely protect you....

Yep, I know these roll bars really wouldn't do much for driver or passengers. I've researched and reviewed many comments with respects to effectiveness, or lack of effectiveness of roll bars in our EBs. Looking more for input or opinions about color or perhaps not even installing a roll bar.

Another vote for black, or body color as second choice. But I might be a little biased;D. Here’s a not so great pic of black in a Samoa Lime - but imho I think it goes with the rear seat frame. Can take a some better pics if you like.

I say black, it looks like your bumpers are black, if so make them match. if the bumpers were not going to be black, I think I would still go black on the cage. also, install a cage or roll bar of some sort. anything is better than nothing.

Definately have some kinda roll over protection. I rolled my 77 in July of last year driving on the highway.

The cage very likely saved me from pushing up daisies.

Yes paint it black. Yes something beats nothing as far as rollover protection.

black or white will look good w/that rig.. White would pop a little more. or a more neutral color like silver vein

Not a fan of body match Good luck

Vote for black, and installed for sure. I like the look of no roll bar best, but the bars look better than the alternative if it goes over.

Would love to see your Samoa Lime Bronco worth the roll bar. Seems like black is the top vote getter so far

Will be happy to do so. Most likely be next Sunday before I’ll have a chance to take them, but will post up then.

I would do body color for the roll bar.

That bar is better than nothing, but really just a spot to mount your 3-point seat belts.

I would paint the grill the wheels the bumpers and the roll bar and the dash Broncos off white. If your leaving the bumpers black then do it all in black except the dash. With a relatively stock truck my vote is Bronco off white.

I've got a half cab w/o roll bar (so far) as I work on it and seldom drive it. I like the look w/o a bar, but for reasons mentioned I'll be adding one eventually.

The rear bumper is currently chrome and I will be changing out the front bumper (currently silver) to a chrome bumper. This is a survivor rig and is all original which is why I'm restoring to period correct gray wheels. This is the original paint and the grill is the factory silver. Will probably go black or Oxford white on roll bar.

Ever have that nagging feeling you forgot to do something......? Well my apologies on the late delivery of some more not-so-great pics. It’s been raining all week, so these were taken late in the day/inside. If it ever stops, I’ll try to get some others. Hope it gives you some idea of how a black roll bar would look....not an exact comparison with the different interiors though.

I think the silver looks good. It ties in the grill and the rims. Just my opinion, its going to look good whatever you choose. Have a good one!
