Duff headers on mine for nearly 30 years still going strong.
And their dual exhaust too,

That Duff's setup is nice. Just got back from SC and went to there shop and checked it out. Also looked at Jon Melton's exhaust that Duff's did. Sounded real nice and some quality stuff for the price. Ken

Back for some more advice. So I'm finally getting around to installing my duff headers and exhaust kit which by the way so far is a great product. But I wanted to get clarification on a cut before I pulled the trigger on it. So right now I have the headers in and the exhaust tubing mocked up. At the rear of the bronco where the pipe comes out of the muffler and around the gas tank it's hitting on my gas tank support strap, both sides. I am using the flowmeter 40 series mufflers and in the instructions it recommends cutting an inch to an inch in a half off. Even if I did that it still wouldn't clear the strap once you install the 65 degree bend pipes. If I cut more than that off I'm worried I'll be to close to the tire. Recommendations, thoughts, and advice?

I'm sure there will be suggestions, but in the end it's an individual vehicle thing.

Looks to me though, like you're going to have to rotate some tubing. First to get the muffler farther away from the frame rail so it does not hit when driving, and then the tailpipe section to move the straight-back section away from both sides of the strap.

You can cut the J-bolt shorter, which will give you some leeway if you end up with the tube in that area, but really it's just going to take more fiddling with the tubing.
And more insulated support hangers in a couple of spots to keep things in check.

Good luck.

There would be nothing wrong with a little BFH (Big Fine Hammer) clearance adjustment. Doesn't look like it would take much. Ken
