Just watched a '71 go across the block for $45K. Can't believe I actually caught Steve Magnate make a mistake - he referred to the front axle as a Dana 35.

Barret Jackson is on my bucket list - after I win the lottery.

I was thinking the same thing as I watched it

Just to put in reference, a '68 Econoline just went for $54,000 in a Mystery Machine theme. Suddenly the Bronco looks like a bargain.

I watched that tonight . & it was good.
Night for trucks. That little 66 F100 V8 i think it brought 80,000.
The Bronco I saw brought like 45K.
& That 1956 yellow Ford truck It sold well.

What's the story on this thing? Is it really a prototype? It looks like it has 289 badges, not a 200?

I tried to take a picture of the sign in front of it. The sign basically says that it was a prototype Bronco built in 1966 and it was given to Carroll Shelby and he used it on his Ranch in Texas. I tried to take a picture of the VIN number on the door also

I will swing back by if I can and try to take a better picture of the story

You can see it on my YouTube channel. It and the Icon are in the same video.

My favorite is the 73 LUBR. Lot 1592. Just a nice clean restored machine.

I was a little surprised by some of the poor condition some were in. Clearly amateur resto hacks. I guess the market has gotten so frothy that everyone is trying to cash in.

My least favorite was the 69 half cab. Really rough once you get up close.

The spouse of one of my employees works for Barrett Jackson year round. She told him Monday was their best Monday. Top dollar night.

They sold a cream puff 74 Pinto for $17,500 (or so) which was the highest price for a Pinto, ever.

Is the slight flare at the bottom front of the rear quarter panel an indication of re-uncut (reproduction) panels? Its the bottom edge that transitions into the bottom of the rocker panel. This is on the Icon, but I see it on other Broncos occasionally as well. Most recently on DuffyMahoney's white Bronco (which he's since bought original quarters for).
