So this showed up today ordering 20 books for them to give away at an upcoming Bronco event, and 20 for us to give away. That sticker says it all - it’s a brotherhood!

I just ordered 2! One for my Son who is 8 and is very much into Bronco's and one for my Daughter who is turning 7 who just likes to color.

Story behind my Daughter though is that she was diagnosed not very long ago with an extremely rare condition called Alstroms.

It would take me all night to try and explain Alstoms but one terrible symptom that comes along with it is called Achromatopsia. A visual condition that affects how she handles light and see's color. More or less she goes completely blind in Sun light and see's no color. Unfortunately she will probably loose total vision by the time she's 20....

All that scientific stuff aside she has these special glass now that allows her to see in the light and manage well on her own. SO... she colors and paints to no end even though she can't see color. Gotta capture all the moments in the present right!

This little project of yours just about took my breath away! Had to buy her one because I can see her coloring each page with pure intent. I can not wait to get it. Best part is her Birthday is next Wednesday so this will be just a nice little added surprise.

Thank you for what you are doing! Awesome JOB!

Cheers

Thank you for sharing this story. It is truly humbling. My best friends son has been gradually losing his sight since we was about 3 (different disease). He is now a junior in college, and is officially blind. He is in the marching band at college, lives in a dorm, and has a 3.8 gpa. He inspires me, as I’m sure your daughter does and will continue to inspire others. Scott

Hey Scott,

3 was the age we learned of our Daughters conditions... I say conditions because Alstroms carries so many. She too was offically deemed "Legally Blind" Recently and works with a vision specialist daily to learn Braile as well as the understand of a cane. She also loves music so I see some form of instrument in her future. Sadly Alstroms took 80% of her hearing as well so there is another challenge but with technology and science she can hear 100% again. May not be natural but she is one of the happiest little girls I've ever seen.

Hey Scott, I got mine last week. Very nice artwork! I have a couple of staff who have young boys and they each got a book. I haven't seen the results yet but the reports are favorable! Came out just in time for Spring Break and some much needed entertainment.
Nice work! Mark

Hey everyone -- I've been working on this for a couple of weeks, and it's ready to go. You can now download individual pages from the coloring book for a small charge. You can buy a page, download it, print it as often as you want and color it. So if you have 5 kids, just print 5 copies and let them color away. You just can't distribute the pages outside your family.

Hopefully this helps folks who really would like to help, but $10.95 was just too much.

For every 10 downloads, we give away a coloring book with crayons.

Let me have your feedback!! Thanks again -- Scott

Hey everyone - my wife is delivering another batch of coloring books and crayons to the Denver Health Services Child Welfare Division today. This is a free daycare center that works to keep kids off the streets while their parent(s) are trying to earn a living.

I just wanted you all to know the types of programs your generosity is supporting! Thanks again.
