From my understanding, this one raced in Ontario in the 70's and early 80's. Gotta love a short wheelbase, gobs of power, 3" of wheel travel and terra tires!

Todd, can you refresh my memory on this one? I know it was sitting outside Barstow the for the longest time...

That is an old shot of the "Barstow Bronco" that I took in 2000 at the Parker Brothers Towing impound yard in Barstow, CA. At the time of the picture, it had been sitting in the yard for about 20 years. It has received a cosmetic restoration and is now in the Off Road Motorsports Hall of Fame in Reno (shown in red and white in one of your previous threads). It is owned by the Pike family.

BigJHoov, there is some great photos on that link! Thanks for posting it.

Grey Ghost, we cannot wait to see more photos.

Here is one from BC. It was an obstacle racer in the 70's. Greg Byrd started racing desert races in the PNW with it in the 80's and 90's. He sold it to another gentleman in the late 90's. He updated the paint, rims, etc and ran it for a few years until he built a Class 4 style fullsize truck. It is just sitting in his backyard. I think this photo is from the early 90's.
Glass body skins, 351C and 4 speed. Changing plugs is a bitch! I know I have more photos of it over the years. I just have to start scanning...

Nice Thread -- we took these on our way down HWY 1 in Baja, heading to the 2007 Baja 1000. About to make the trip again in a few weeks, and I can hardly wait! I LOVE these pics of a TRUE BRONCO LEGEND...
