.. My running Buddy bought a 1966 but it had a 200 cid. We built it & got it running .He gripped about no power all the time. & wE PUT IN THE np435. Just 4 speeds & He put on 33;10/50r15S. wITH HIS 4:11S.
I THOUGHT IT was fine great on hunting trails & would go anywhere, . & I think 60 in 95% of the Bronco is fine.
... NOW HE'S HAD ABOUT 3 DIFFERENT V8 Init & it still won't run 100. I'LLBEDAMNED!
It's a BRICK.

If the body/condition is right, buy it. Stuff a 200 or 250 or a turbo or something in it later. I didn't mind my six overall until some valves froze up, its getting a "250" now but keeping it a six.
