It has the Stroppe or Baja badges on the fenders so my guess is it's the real deal. I don't recall the Denver's having the Baja Badges.

Denvers are '75 only. Somebody at the very least put a Stroppe-ish paint job and Baja decals on the fenders. I don't see anything else that points to it being a Baja though.

My not be a Stroppe, but I think someone on here in the area should check it out. And let us know. Sure wished my grand parents were still with us. We used to spend our summer with them as kids in that area of Florida.

Franko's four year old cell pic also shows a paint code of X and trim/body code of 84. Seems to line up with the 72 Explorer Sports. What the hell is up with so many of those popping up lately?

Knew a guy who had a Mercedes 380sl, he bought the trunk mount stop light and the 560sl badges and made a nice profit. Yes, he was a car salesman.

What are the chances it's a frame swap? Seems to have a lot of the important pieces, it's not unreasonable to believe that it lost it's frame to rot down here in FL. Has anyone tracked down the owner of the one registered in FL, does it still exist? I think I would check the frame vin on this one as well. For a guy that is not trying to pawn it off as a Stroppe (price wise) it seems like a lot of effort.

It's got a Memphis DSO, which makes it even more likely in my mind that there's nothing Stroppe about it.

What pieces, aside from the stickers on the fenders, does it have? None that I see.

At least it makes for interesting discussion. Carry on

When I asked him about the decals and for the VIN because I wanted to see what he had, he told me it didn't have double shocks before the word BAJA came up.
