Looking better and better... :)

Got the Spectre air cleaner on(still need the breather), removed all of the body lights and gaskets and got the Bronco Design fiberglass hood mocked up. Not sure why its sitting higher on the drivers side but it felt like the fresh air vent was propping it up.

Drilled the stock latch holes and had a hard time tapping the holes so we quit early. Back at it this weekend to tap those 3 holes and then attacking the hinges and hood shocks

Found a sand blaster who wants $80 to get the powder off the 8 point cage so hopefully dropping that off next week and then welding the seat belt bungs and windshield support tabs in

Headlights, mirror and door handles for sale soon...

Sweet ride you got there...

I finally put a hard top back on the Happy Hooligan. It's been about 10 years since I took the original off. Feels SO different driving it with a top.

Putting in new valve cover gaskets. The old ones were brittle, crumbly, and leaking. Valve covers cleaned and ready for reinstallation (don't worry, I have plans to plate/polish them eventually!)

I'm using the tailgate as a work table today while I am lasering an order of cups and doing some license plates.

Nice air filter. Did you watch the air filter performance shootout on Engine Masters YouTube channel yet? Fun stuff!
Apparently when all else is said and done, the filter-top filters are the best breathing of the lot. Doesn't matter what diameter or height the filter, it it's breathing in the top so the air can go straight down, it wins.

Of course, that was with no hood to obscure or change the air flow patterns, but it is still a telling tale.

Ram air! Interesting, Ill have to check that out. I love the design of this thing and 25% at Pep Boys was a no brainer. Really good quality. The only downside is they don't tell you that you also have to buy the stud and nut kit as well as the top plate kit. Another $15-20

Anyone have tips on tapping the latch holes? Tough to do when the hood isn't stable. Drill bit should be 2-3 sizes smaller than the tap?

Is that a Brittany? I'm not sure I have a pic of mine when he was alive riding in my bronco. He loved it, but did get rolled around a bit when driving. lol

Spent the majority of the day delivering Christmas trees to the family.

Then spent a little time in the early evening removing the drivers seat and breaking the rust/cleaning out the dirt from the channels so my wife can start driving her more comfortably (she's short).

Nothing better than the original stock bumper. Went back to it. Next up are the wheels!

Ordered my material for the rear four link. Trying to decide if I want to keep my stock rear end or buy a new Riff stuff rear housing.

Well, a factory 9" is lighter and more compact... But dayang that RS housing is sweet!
If you want more bang (as opposed to just bang-for-the-buck) and pop and boom and eye candy, there is only the one choice.

For a good bang-for-the-buck (he says, putting on his sales cap%) ) we do have our HD housing on special still (free shipping) and that's a good setup. But outweighed by the RS fabbed housing by a fair piece. Literally!

Have fun with that decision...;D
