Chrome option? Horn ring?

My 66 bronco roadster was apparently bought at a phoenix ford dealer. The price was $2405. At the time i got it, it had a chrome stock 1066 front bumper and custom rear bumper. Hovever, no horn ring. Should it have the horn ring? Any way i could find out?

Now there seem to be two options, chrome and argent silver. Which is/are authentic? Which is mote durable? Which are/is accepable for restoration?

Thanks!

The satin finish wasn't available until 68. All '66s had chrome, the option was whether it had a beauty ring or not.

If it had chrome bumpers and tail light bezels it probably had the ring. The '66 had a one year only that said Product Of Ford Motor Company instead of just Ford.

This is helpful and thanks but it leaves me still in a somewhat ignorant atate.

What is a beauty ring? Is it for a wheel or is it for a steering wheel?

My 66 has shiny metal tail light bezels, but i am not certain if they are chrome or something else, eg aluminum. What are the 66 options for non chrome tail light bezels?

If it had taillight bezels they were chrome, or no bezels at all. Here's a 66 horn button and ring.

The upgraded package for '66 was chrome bumpers, anodized aluminum (brite) tail light trim, and the chrome horn ring attached to the horn button. Some also had the tri-bar vinyl stripe on the rocker panel and lower fenders along with a painted on single stripe on the upper reveal along the fenders, doors and rear quarters. The painted on stripe stopped at the tail light section.

If it didn't have the tail light bezels, it just had lenses there without any metal surround of any kind.

All these items that these experts are describing are part of the 'Custom Equipment' package, which was only available in '66. Think of it as the forerunner to the Sport Package.
