Good from far, Far from good

Well I finally bit the bullet. I decided that a $1500 paint job on a 35 y/o 4X4 (that I plan on using as a 4X4) made no sense. I know that I should of bought a gun and done it right, however I broke down and rattle canned it. I had to do it in a Garage of a house that i'm renting, so thought this would be a little easier. Besides the only reason it is yellow is that my 3 year old insisted. He had to have a "Yellow Fronco", everytime he sees a yellow vehicle, he yells, "LOOK AT THAT DADDY, THATS THE COLOR WE GONNA PAINT OUR FRONCO". Within 2-3 years Daddy's going to paint it his color. It will surfice. I know there will be critics, and a million opinions, but this suited my situation the best. Duplicolor Sandable Primer 12 cans, Duplicolor Acrylic Enamel, Chrome Yellow 12 cans, Duplicolor Acrylic Enamel Crystal Clear 12 cans = $150.00. Easy to fix, after I scratch it up.

I think it looks good! rollin through town, or when it's covered in mud, nobody will know the difference.
it's way better than the "trailer park camo" I've got on Ugly.

Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote.

Thanks. I figure after the rear corner guards, the sliders, war flares, bumpers, and a top, most of it will be covered anyway.

It looks good. Is this the same Bronco that was painted in camo in your gallery?

Looks good from this angle. I kinda wish I did the same thing. Mine's been with the paint guy over a YEAR now... frustrated to say the least and out a lot more pocket change.

I think yellow takes some ballz. It's not like these trucks don't already attract enough attention...

Yep. That's the Camo one from the gallery. Stripped to bare metal. Body work could have been better, but the beauty is that I can redo one piece at a time... If it aggrevates me enough.

Cool

Looks great...it might have been cheaper to buy an el cheapo spray gun from Harbor frieght and shot with krylon from the bucket. My father and I sprayed his 70 'stang yellow for a daily driver. Driveway job and a 12 pack for about $60 with purchace of the sprayer......Now to get him to help with the Bronco!!!

Like I said though, I thought this would be easier. You can only let so much oversray out of the garage,at one time, in a subdivision like this. The whole driveway thing would have never worked. Then I would of had to calculate EPA fines into the cost. Gotta Love THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA.
