are these bolts sequenced as in they have to be lined up one way to bolt them else wise they don't match? so, have you tried spinning the c4 all the way around?

if they just simply didn't line up but they off. Left to right oppesed to being up or down if that makes any sence

Ford had 2 bolt patterns for the 164 tooth flexplate. 10.5 and 11.4 sounds like you got a 10.5 converter they are kinda oddball the 11.5s are more common. I'd probably get the correct converter as it may be a little tough to find the correct flexplate.

Definitely the wrong converter. Most likely it's a converter for a 157 tooth flexplate (also 10.5" bolt pattern). The 10.5" 164 tooth converter is as hard to find as the flexplates. The big difference between the 157 and 164 converter is the length. 157 tooth bellhousings are not as deep as 164 tooth. Using a 157 tooth converter in a 164 tooth bell will be a disaster for the pump.
