Well guys, it's been a while since I've posted a build thread. I just picked up a decent 74 from tejayandtina (username) on August 27th, 2011. I chose the name for obvious reasons (hint Hurricane Irene), but really felt compelled when my kitchen flooded along with my neighbors lovely tree which decided it wanted to be in my yard instead. I'm hoping to return the favor when I begin the teardown and rebuild of Renee.

I'll have plenty of pics to come. Not looking to do a nut and bolt resto, but a decent frame off since it is a 95% original rig. It has the typical rust, but nothing Dennis Carpenter and my Lincoln mig can't fix.;D Here's some teaser porn of Irene.

This will be the last toy I'll own for a long time. I have a four month old boy at home and it took a TON of pelading with the wifey to get the OK for this Bronco. The stable is at full capacity and nothing is for sale. I need to change my username;D.

Just picked this guy up in MD last night. Found it on craigslist for $75. Need to get the regulator to run gas, but still a killer deal.

Nice start and looks like it had a plow on it,

I still have the plow if anyone is interested. Hard to let the truck go but I already have one project going and needed the cash. Glad it found a good home. It Almost didn't, but I'll let Brian talk about that one. Good Luck Brian keep us posted on the progress.

Yeah TeJay had a guy who offered him the full $1500 with the plow, but agreed to let it go to me for a little less without it. I sent him a deposit and he was debating if he should sell it to the other guy. I told him he had to do what he had to do. A persons house, family, and quality of life take precedent over any automobile in my opinion. He later said he'd honor our deal saying he'd feel bad if he didn't go through with it. I was happy as hell especially since he said the other guy was only going to use it to plow ! Fortunately that's not going to happen.

To sum it up, TeJay is a good guy who helped a Bronco Brother out. Hats off!!

Here's a grille from another EB I got from Lewes, DE about a month ago. It's in pretty bad shape, but I think its worth repairing. The one on the 74 seems to have more rot in worst spots. I can definitely make one good one out of the two if need be.

The upper louvers on the grille were slightly bent (had a spare tire mounted on the front bumper). A 3' 2X4 along with a BFH and the bend went bye-bye. I don't know if the pics show it, but it was talking to me. Thon only major rot is on the bottom section where the license plate mounts. PA only requires one plate so I'm probably gonna leave it solid when I repair it.

Should have told me. I had an extra grille I would have sold you cheap.

I was in such a rush to get back home since the storm was coming. I would have grabbed it off of you, but hey I need to polish up on my fabrication/welding skills. Here's a few pics of what I did today.

I first wanted to see how bad the rot went up to the louver section. It was close, but I have enough material to weld to. I used a section of another hardtop I had cut up for scrap and made the patch panel with it. It's gonna need a little tweaking to get both ends to fit, but should look good. I was in a rush to get home tonight so I cut my day short to avoid upsetting the Mrs.
