Built an aluminum bumper today cause it was too cold to paint and gonna put it for sale when i finish it the next day i work on it.

I sorta like aluminum bumpers myself!....lighter and it don't rust like steel. Yours looks great!

I havnt decided yet, but 3/8" aluminum is retareded expensive. I was thinking $650, if it does not sell, i may throw it on my Bronco. I am trying to raise funds for a new shop. I am going to box the underside at an angle so it is not flat for a cleaner more modern. look.

Thats a great looking bumper....or it should be when you finish it.......I would like to see more photos when your done with it.......Years ago I built an aluminum bumper for my 4x4 FORD VAN......IT WOULD HAVE BEEN CHEAPER TO BUY IT.....BACK THEN.....LOL

I've thought about doing that. Great looking. Are you using 4043 or 5356 to weld it?

5356, 4043 is a lot weaker weld from what i read so i dont use it even though it does make a much prettier weld.

I have to confess..I build all my EB aluminum parts from leftover stock run through the business. Pierce Aluminum is out main supplier.;)

Me too, i use pierce aluminum also out of Broussard La. What size channel did you use to fit in the frame?

Made a skid plate for looks mostly. I just used 1\8" since it is not part of the support.
