Thumbs up Saving a blind Rottweiler

Guys, I come here every day and the people here are great in many ways. I also visit Rottweiler.net because of my dogs. I don't have 4000 posts over there but I do check in a few times a week. Someone started a thread about a blind rottweiler dropped off at a shelter in N.J. and believe it or not, someone on the site wants to give him a home. It is really a interesting story of people helping people in need. The famly who wants the dog live in Montana and they have a old folks home for dogs. They already have two blind Pugs. SO, to get the dog a lot of people got involved. They had a woman go to the shelter and pick the dog up and drive him to the N.Y. border. Someone else drove the dog to Albany N.Y. where yet another person is going to drive the dog to the border of Canada. It is interesting to see so many people get involved to save one blind 8 year old Rotti. They really saved two, another one is going to R.I.

In this world full of assholes and greed it is just great to see that there are still some nice people out there. For any of you dog lovers who may want to read this sometime , I am including a link to the thread. I know this is long but I just thought that I would share it with you guys. It just seems like something the people on this great site would do to help a fellow member out.

Yes Andy, believe it or not , there are nice people out there who will go way out of their way for a animals life.
There is also a site for the resque of American Eskimos or "Eskies"

There are several sites set up for the cause, Heart Bandits is one of a few. Its not unusal for folks to put together a "railroad" to help find these dogs a home, and also to help educate people about the breed.....much like the Rotty's.

that is so common among the breed sites as there is a site for every breed (dang near) I have read about the same thing happening on the Australian cattle dog site (got two myself)

there are still a lot of good people in the world...

Keep the faith...

...Well I was moving down the road in my V-8 ford I had a shine on my boots I had my sideburns lowered...
