All,
When I posted Monday about the status of the couple of eb owners I knew personally, they were fine. Seems as though others were not so lucky. Now that the scam artists are at work I am sure you have seen various ploys to get your $$. This one is legit-was posted tonight on the ecbr. Read my copy and if you feel lead to contribute please do so. This copy also speaks volumes about our eb vendors. Thanks guys.
FWIW,
Karl Bradley

"The following prepared by 'Doc' Lewis as a statement of purpose. We have over 60 Bronco owners that are members of Bronco clubs spanning southern Lousiana, Mississippi and Alabama that have been adversely affected by Katrina. Members of the Deep South EB club, Gulf Coast Bronco Assoc. and the Dixie 2 Big Bronco club will benefit on an as needed basis from your donations. Some have lost everything!
The generous BRONCO specific vendor communitee has stepped up big time to help. Each of the following has made a generous committment to help!... James Duff Enterprises, Tom's Bronco Parts, BC Bronco's, Jeff's Bronco Graveyard and Wild Horses. Others are sure to join the cause. I am helping Doc coordinate the effort, since I am still in touch with many of the membership in New Orleans and surrounding areas.
www.BroncoRescue.org is raising funds for our Bronco brothers with needs due to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Our primary focus is toward those of our Bronco fellowship, such as, but not limited to, the East Coast Bronco Registry, Deep South Early Bronco Club, 2-Big Broncos Dixie Chapter, and Gulf Coast Area Bronco Owners group. We stand ready to assist any member of known and established Bronco organizations along
the Gulf Coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
Alan Kirshbom, Chairman of Bronco Rescue, is a member of the Deep South Early Bronco Club (based in Slidell, LA) and a current member of
East Coast Bronco Registry. He currently resides in Wisconsin and was not affected by the hurricane. He will be responsible for ascertaining the needs of the Bronco owners across the entire Gulf Coast region, administering the funds collected, and accounting for expenditures. We
have a committee of representatives from affiliated Bronco groups to assist Alan in this effort. If you personally know of some need, please voice that directly to Alan!
Our SPONSORS (BC Broncos, James Duff Enterprises, Tom's Bronco Parts, and Wild Horses) have agreed to "match" member donations! For an individual donation of a minimum of $100.00, each of these five Bronco vendors has agreed to donate $25.00
to the Bronco Rescue fund. That means that your $100.00 donation will more than double in value to $225.00 for these needy victims of Hurricane Katrina. Bronco Driver magazine is going to give our cause
extensive coverage, both in print and on-line. As the fund grows and needs are met, there will be updates on the Rescue efforts. (Not able to contribute the $100 for matching funds? Then, get with a couple of buddies to pool your resources for the $100 donation or send any amount you can -- the need is great and so are Bronco folks!)
