Might See me on Internet TV today

This is more of a plug for the race than me, LOL. Your Way Netweork is providing live coverage of the Canadian Fastest street Car Shootout this weekend. Here is the link: http://www.yourwaynetwork.com/cfscslive.htm . I am heading the security up for the race and will be between the burnout box and the heads of the lanes most of the weekend. So you might see me. I will likely be wearing a yellow tshirt and be one of the wider guys down there. (6ft, 280lbs, brush cut black hair, I have big legs and walk funny, LOL) Oh, I also have a bit of a belly, but what can I say, you have a big car you build a big garage over it right?

A better reason to watch this is the Real Street Outlaw Class. When these guys qualify today, they will have to go a on 30 mile cruise, come back to the track and do three back to back passes, without being able to change anything. This is to prove that they are truly able to run on the street.
Seen some nice cars before, this year is wild. Two entries have scared a lot of the guys away. One of them is a camaro that ran Pro Outlaw last year. He has run well in the high 6's before. He has also done the cruise before, but never a cruise and qualifying, so some are expecting him to break. If he doesnt, he could go on to be one of the fastest proven real street cars I know of.

I am kind of rooting for him, as he and a bunch of his friends drove 1000 miles to be here. There are some really nice stangs at the race too. So if you are bored today, check the video feed out. Pro Outlaw gets it all started at 1pm today.

There are like 12 or 13 classes, and a lot of guys south of the Border have come up to get their butts kicked. Truth is they do pretty good up here, LOL. Eric Kenward came all the way up from Florida, he is runing drag radial. One of the best party/races I attend.

LOL, we were laughing yesterday about the "sea of bellies" there. I am quite skinny compared to some of the gentileman walking around. I wish I had bought a CB tshirt along with my long sleeve shirt. The broadcast was watched in 23 countries, and even the space station sent an email about it. Pretty wild.

Today is the finals. Some really interesting stuff happening today. The Real Street Outlaw class seen only 5 entries yesterday. Smallest car count for the class ever. But they all made the cruise, and the three back to back passes. Which is incredible as one of the cars is capable of a 6 second 1/4 mile. He was limping on his third pass, 20 pounds of oil pressure and 220+ degrees. But he survived and is set to run today. If he runs what he is capable of, he will be arguably one of the fastest Real Street cars in the world, bar none. He and his crew drove 18 hours to be here, so we are al hoping he pulls it off.

My Pro Outlaw guys took top spot in qualifying yesterday on their final pass of qualifying. Terry is a three time OSCA champion, so we are really hoping he upsets the two time CFSC Champion Camp Stanely. Camp is an awesome, awesome guy, but he is American (no offense to anyone, but we have to have a little patriotism). To date no Canadian has won the fastest class in the CFSC. Being faster than Camp doesnt really mean anything though. He has put many of racer on the trailer even though they had him covered by tons. The man is smart. Last year he was covered by a 1/2 second by two teams, and still won.

Been told the best way to view the coverage is to right click the screen and then hit zoom for fullsize. Your Way Network covers a lot of Fun Ford Events. His product just keeps getting better, and more popular. Yesterday morning he said his stats were off the chart. I will be between the staging lanes and the start line again today. Yesterday I ended up wearing a blue cutoff shirt. Seems I am the only staff without a staff yellow shirt. We all got a good laugh about it, as I should be kicking myself out. Be wearing kakia (sp) shorts and my usually black boots today, no idea what shirt though.

I have been watching and it's great, some pretty nice Mustangs from America getting whooped by better reaction time Canadians.

Sounds like you need one of those shirts that say "I beat anorexia".

I'm barely six foot and about 230, and I know how you feel.

You know I watched

I saw a lot of those yellow bellies you speak of but none ever close enough to make out one from the next. I had to go out today. I came home and it was off.

It was a mess yesterday. Really great racing, a lot of personal bests, seen two pro outlaws both sideways for the entire track trying to out limp each for the win. I have never seen so much down time at our race before. Had the entire shut down area oiled twice. A real go from a super high to a super low type day.
In the end it was great. Camp Stanely took top spot in Pro Outlaw for the third year in a row. He is American as American can be, his Mustang did it again.
You got love how I told you to look for me. No one had worn kakia (sp) shorts all weekend, so I thought that was good. Sitting in the tower trying to cool off I noticed three of us wearing them. But they all had staff yellow shirts on. I again didnt, LOL, didnt even get a wrist band. I think that is an indictation I do this too often. Yesterday it was an orange sleeveless tshirt for me. Easiest way to see me is I walk funny, but at 280 and tattooed only my friends mention laugh at me for it.

I will let you guys know when Jimmy does another race, I think he is covering all of the Fun Ford weekends. Really neat technology, and he is starting to get some response from it. ESPN and Speed Channel dont like him very much. And advertisers are slowly starting to ask him questions. So Your Way Network pretty soon might become a household name in sports nut's homes around the world. Be neat to see them at a big 4x4 event some day.
