Separating the slip yokes?

Trying to get the slip yokes off to swap them.
Any one run into a driveshaft that is connected like my top one?
Not sure how to go about separating them.
Thanks!

Brian

Pry the tangs off the dust cap and take a punch and carefully push it off the end of the slip yoke. Them pull the yoke off.

the tangs on the dust cap on one drive shaft came off easy.
The threaded dust cap on the other took a plumbers vice and a big old pipe wrench.

On to swapping the yokes, and ran into another problem.
The slip yokes won't interchange, one splined section of the driveshaft is bigger than the other and the dust caps are yoke specific, so I can't swap them along with the yokes.
Anyone ever run into this?
Seems like I just keep running into problem after problem.

Usually your best bet is to have the drive shaft resplined check around some shops will charge almost as much as the venders sell new drive shafts for and with the venders you get new CV and ujoints to boot.
