Ford 9 axle indentification...

look at the outer end. if the bearing end is the dame diameter as the axle tube, it's a small bearing. if the end gets larger, it's a big bearing.

If the outer end of the axle tube is bulged, it is ether a large bearing or a medium (torino medium bearing ) you must measure the bolt spacing for the backing plate to know for sure. I found this out the hard way when i converted to disk brakes.
If you need the Medium measurments lets me know and I'll claw under mine and let you know what mine are.
