Relocating it down lower becuase I'm replacing the stock tracbar to an aftermarket one with a heim end.
Stock tracbar had major binding at full flex.

What tierod/draglink? Chevy TRO? You should move the axle end of the trackbar down by the passenger side inner knuckle, in between the spring cup.

The aftermarket tracbar and TRO steering linkage geometry are better and almost parallel.
New C-Bushings in.
I also extended the steering stops so inner tire no longer rubs the shock bolt.

The top two pix are of my truck - I'd recognize those greasy tie rod ends anywhere :)

Todd,

Is there anything you would do different about that if you were to do it over again?

Not that I can think of off the top of my head. Installed in June '08 and I haven't found any downsides to the conversion yet.

Hey Todd, what caused you to mount the draglink upside down? Did you cut it to make it adjustable by any chance? Or is that just the way it worked best after you went TRO?
Curious.

Thanks

Paul

Yes, it was cut down to make it adjustable (78-79 linkage). I often forget that it's backwards. Protofab did the conversion for me years ago. I can't even remember if I ever had the 78-79 linkage before I went TRO years ago.
