    starter drive does not disengage

Might be a good idea to make sure the small wires on the solenoid aren't reversed. There are ways to fix the old (neutral safety / back-up light switch) if you can remove it from the transmission without breaking the plastic.

What was Ford’s stock alternator’s output on the 66 and 67’s?

Serpantine belts are a nice modern reliable upgrade for many. ... there are still those of us who have near stock rigs and prefer to keep them that way for a whole host of reasons. All my mods are easily reversible except for the cut fenders, which were that way when I bought it... Mine is not...

What was Ford’s stock alternator’s output on the 66 and 67’s?

Yup I agree Paul. I liked the Lg 100A on the 73 bronco explorer so much that i built another for the 77 F-150. It feeds the odyssey AGM battery very well. I use the truck to Jump-start a lot of vehicles regularly and the 100A brings up completely dead batteries very quickly with a 6 AWG charge wire.

    Transmission fluid change out

Either you drained it cold or you work fast getting the pan back on. I almost always get 4 quarts out on a pan and filter drop. If none of the above then the dip stick could be a little off. On mine though I would pull the plug on the torque converter, and wind up putting 9.5 to 10 Qts. back in...

What was Ford’s stock alternator’s output on the 66 and 67’s?

I had the 55A on my '73 when I bought it. The headlights would dim @ idle and the amp gauge would go to battery power. I installed the large housing 100A out of an 88 taurus. A junkyard unit that I put bearings and brushes in. No wire mods necessary because it is externally regulated like the...

    C4 Valve body tag

It's a '74 VB. The casting number you are seeing is an engineering number used up to '77 on the EB. The foundry number (74) is closer to year model, in other words if it was cast in late 74, it could be a 75 VB... The tag I think is an inspection tag that denotes what governor valve assembly is...
