    Offset Transmission Crossmember

Glad my thread on the Cross Member and Stock Motor Mounts helped to point you in the right direction. I was really surprised at the difference between the stock and Extreme Motor Mounts pushed the alignment of the motor around. Maybe someone at Wild Horses should take a better look at that...

    4R70W Crossmember trouble

I swapped the Extreme Motor Mounts for stock motor mounts and the difference between the bracket location is amazing. The first picture is the Extreme Motor mount and the whole assembly is too far to the Drivers side, the second picture now almost brings it to the hole and according to the...

    4R70W Crossmember trouble

So I had a nice conversation with one of the guys at Toms yesterday. He had a Bronco with an older AOD in the shop and he grabbed a new crossmember off the shelf and guess what, it was different and did not match the holes. He said it looks like they made some wrong. He is having the...

    4R70W Crossmember trouble

904Bronco, great pictures! Looks like we have the exact same issues. I thought about drilling it out but you can see in the the picture attached that there is a brace welded in there and will prevent that. Even with the motor mounts loosed up and lifting the engine up I can't move it over far...

    4R70W Crossmember trouble

I haven't gone that far but I have put some side pressure on and it's hit the stops as far as the engine mount goes. The mounts are loose now and there's no play there.

    4R70W Crossmember trouble

I have been working on the 4R70W install and have the trans mounted to the engine ok, I am using the AA adapter which fits fine. I originally modified the stock crossmember as per the crap AA instructions but the cross member seemed to be shifted to one side to work with the stock frame mount...

    4R70W Torque Converter Question

The Trans guy is from NJ so I may not have heard him right...... He said there was a smaller TQ and a Big TQ, we started by measuring across the flexplate and came up with two different readings. Now he did mention something about a Crown Vic 4.6 Converter. I panicked for a moment and said "you...

Rampage soft top EZ install (NO DRILL!) instillation system!!

None on the tailgate. The rear bar is suspended between the bed sides and you can now open your tailgate without removing the bottom of the rear window. Looks good, I saw it last month at the MEB Roundup and it even has the hole for the B pillar bracket so you don't have to drill in to the body...

    4R70W Torque Converter Question

I have a guy building a 4R70W for my 97ish (P Head Explorer Motor) 5.0 with 35inch tires and 4.56 gears. He asked which flexplate I was planning on using and I told him the one I have is a 50oz plate with 11 5/16 across the TQ bolt holes. He is saying that I should be using a smaller TQ with a...
