    CO 1967 U13

History The truck is an original U13 Roadster that has spent most of it’s life in New Mexico and is rust free. I purchased the truck in 2004 and have done extensive work to it and enjoyed it very much. My last big remaining project was paint and some minor body work but unfortunately I have run...

    35 spline 9" housing questions

Well I went ahead and ordered a new housing from WildHorses and a rear disk kit since I need a whole new brake setup anyways. You all have been super helpful, I'll report back when the new axle is under the truck.

    35 spline 9" housing questions

landshark, thanks for that, I might try and track this guy down and see what he has. In regards to the 3rd member, I already have that all built out with Strange nodular housing, 35sp ARB, Daytona pinion support, etc. nvrstuk, that is an extremely compelling argument, thanks. Maybe I'll just...

    35 spline 9" housing questions

I'm building up a 35 spline rear axle and I have a few questions. I currently have a small bearing rear end in my 67'. 1) Is there any reason I wouldn't want to go with the 35 spline axle with the small bearings (like those sold from WildHorses). This is obviously the simple solution. 2) If I...

    quick 5.8 lower manifold question

Will a later model 5.8 efi lower manifold bolt up to a 69' 351w block and heads without any sort of special parts? I have read all the posts on this, but want final confirmation before I head to pick and pull in the morning. Any recommendations on injectors to grab while I'm there? I'll be...

What do you think for 351W mods?

I have the edelbrock with the offroad kit on my 351... I hate it. Awfull off camber performance, poor fuel metering, but it is simple to work on and tune. I would highly recommend a q-jet. Do a search on it, I think you will like it.

    Welding your own cage

Good plan, They will definately be able to weld better with the cage out (positioning can be everything) and it will save your paint I would for sure brace the cage up after you have it all in place and tacked. I have seen many structures warp a good amount even when taking care to control...

    Welding your own cage

Hate to say it, but if you have to ask you probably shouldn't. I agree with the idea of tacking it up (pay attention to your fitment, take your time notching) and letting a pro weld it. As far as mig goes one of my favorite statements is " it's the easiest to pick up and the hardest to...

help! my throw out bearing ate my clutch

The adapter is from AA and is cnc'd from aluminum. It has no adjustment so I am going to assume it is fine. There was no chatter and no noise As an update I checked for pilot bushing for wear and there really is none. There is .004 clearance between the input shaft snout and the ID of the...

help! my throw out bearing ate my clutch

Is there any difference in the depth of bell housings? I would hate to go to install the truck bell housing only to find it too long or short. How bout fly wheels, what would be a good u-pull donor? thanks
