Best way to get a hard top down to bare metal?

Auto body shops often use a razor blade scraper to scrape the paint off. Once you get it started its surprisingly easy. I took my lift gate down to bare metal in minutes with this method.

    Propane Conversion - '71

So what's the ballpark cost of a setup like this?

    OK 71' Not Mine

It could probably sell for close to that out here in CA. Not sure about where it is though...

    CA Need Purchase Inspection Advice

To O.P. Broncos are a unique "old car." There are key items to look for in assessing whether you're looking at a good buy (things I didn't know about when I first ventured into the Bronco world). If you can find one that has little to no rust, you've found a diamond in the rough. To that...

CA 72 Bronco -- Not mine

    Disc brake conversion

Best upgrade you'll make. Find a used set up and then change out the consumable bits (ie new pads, rebuild calipers, turn the rotors, and check the bearings). That's the cheapest way to make the swap IMO. It all comes down to the time you're willing to put in to tracking down good priced donor...

Does anyone actually own a water tight EB?

Mines pretty water tight. I used the foam door seal material (commonly used on RV doors and so on) you can buy at Home Depot along the door seals and to fill any small gaps. It only costs like $5, so when it gets deteriorated it will be cheap and easy to replace. Helps with road noise too.

    Adjusting Toe

    What do I win?!?!
  9. Gray035

    Adjusting Toe

I know this is unlikely unless the tie rod came from a non- bronco, but make sure there is still adjustment left inside the clamp. Maybe the last guy brought the toe in as far as the clamp would allow and then just left it rather than trimming the tie rod.

    Another C4 question

Your u joints could be old and loose. Also check that your yokes are tight. Mine used to slam into reverse until I changed the yokes and replaced the crush sleeve in the yoke (it was leaking so it was part of another project).

    I need to vent.....

Sounds like a good case for small claims court.

What steering linkage do I have.

I had camber issues and used the Ingalls shims. They worked great and are fully adjustable.

Ever wonder what our EB's would look in all matte black?

Are you talking about chrome vinyl wrap on a bronco? Cause I would love to see that.
