Tons Bronco rear shock and mount angle

I recently did a rear disc brake conversion and it mentions moving the lower portion of the shock to the inside of the mount. I struggled but was able to get it on but now I'm concerned about the angle where it attaches. Does this look right and is it okay?

About a year ago I had the same problem. I solved it with a pipe that just fit over the stud and was able to bend it a better angle.

That's a good idea, I was thinking if I could do the same it wouldn't be as bad. Thanks!
