That's the numbers I put together based on the 6g users and stats......

There are 4502 broncos represented, 70.5% are 2.7l which is 3174. We know of 50 problem 2.7l here, 50/3174 is 1.6%.
If 25538 are potentially affected at 1.6%, that would be 409 failures 2.7l roughly out of that 25538.

Yeah in some ways I am glad I didnt get my order with the 2.7 early on. Hopefully it is as limited as it seems. I am second guessing my 2.7 order now that I have a 2.3 it moves the new bronco just fine. I know of two people that had the 2.7 in the F150 and they both had problems.

Ford is not catching many breaks with the new Bronco roll out, to say the least. I cancelled my 2022 Bronco order with a 2.7 long ago and am waiting for a Tundra TRD Pro that I ordered. Toyota is holding them from production because of a turbo problem......and the chip shortage, so I hear. Arghhhh.. With all the technology, engineering and industry know how about engines you would think that problems like this would be avoidable. Oh wait, humans are involved so mistakes will always happen.

ALL,
The hype about engine failures is overblown. My 2.7L was built at the Lima Plant on 28 June, 2021. That is inside the range of engines to look out for. As of today, I have over 16,000 miles after 8 months of ownership and no issues. I guess I got lucky. Don't fear the 2.7L.

That makes sense. At least they don't make jet engines for airplanes.

I've read the problems are supposed to be associated with a bad/defective lot of a particular valve component part, so that could explain why not all engines have the issue. That said, there does seem to be an unusually high number of failures.
