Can you buy LED lights that are plug and play or is there something special needed to make it work?

Are you going to go with all LED or a mix of LED and regular bulbs?

The LED bulbs have much less resistance than regular bulbs and will flash very fast without some added resistance in the circuit.

If you are going all LED then the way to do it is change the flashers to ones made for LED use.

If you are going to use a mix of bulb types then you will need to add resistors to the LED bulb pigtails.

Just added LED boards from TBP. They are the only LED I run and I got lucky with no load resistors.

I used many of the same bulbs as JefeAZ from superbright. the flasher module i ended up with is CEC Industries EF32RL Flasher. Liked it because it makes the clicking noise... other replacement flashers are silent. If it matters to you, might be worth a look...

Can you shoot me (or post it here) a picture of the “cool white” license plate light at night? I’m trying to decide which lumens / color to go with (cool, natural or warm)

I had to retain the regular front turn signal bulbs when I ran rear led brake lights , I didn’t want to add resistors..

You don’t need resistors is you swap your flasher to an led compatible version. That’s much easier than butchering up your wiring.

I did the led flasher that and it didn’t work not sure why. Tried it
everything is led except the front two blinker bulbs and the flashers and blinkers work fine.
I didn’t want to cut anything up either

Might be a polarity problem. LED bulbs will not work if the wiring is reversed. Incandescent bulbs don’t care. I know some reproduction light buckets have the wires reversed and it caused an issue. My hazards worked using the original flasher and LED bulbs. I only had to change the turn signal flasher.

I converted both of my ‘66 & ‘74 Bronco’s to LED headlights and taillights. Been happy with the upgrade. An easy plug & play.
