Oil separator needed?

Just wondering if I should add the oil separator to my 2.7? Curious what the opinion is on this site.

IMO. If you do a lot of short trips that the engine doesn't get up to temperature, then maybe.
I don't let the oil life monitor go to the 0%, just change it a little earlier as I don't run a seperator.

I put the UPR unit on my 2.7 and have gotten about an ounce of fluid at every oil change. These engines are boosted and there will be blow-by and it is better to keep it off the valves and out of the intake. Just my .02.

From what I understand the 2.7 has both direct and throttle body (type) injection. The top of the valves should be kept clean however, do you really want oil in your combustion chamber, ever? In the 4cylinder most definitely, it is only a direct injection.
