I'm retiring next summer after 28 years of active duty Army, but my lovely wife has informed me that I'm expected to go out and get another job... Actually, I agree with her; it's not a bad idea, but I plan to work part time.

Anyway, congrats on your retirement! Hope you make lots of progress on your Bronco! Once I finish my '68 GTO convt. and '66 Fairlane GT convt and sell both, it's on to my '69 Bronco project.

I retired a year ago. I might go back to work so I can get a day off.
Trips, painting the house, camping, replacing fencing, replace the kitchen cabinets, had the hard wood floors refinished, transmission and rear diff work on the 1/2 cab and some body work on my 1st EB. Plus normal yard stuff.

I know this well after 8.5 years of retirement. Worked on my Dad's house until he passed, then on my own, now on my Son's in OR. A couple of Bronco Projects, and a few side jobs on Bronco's. When my Wife retires, well I think we will downsize our home, and possibly do some Travel.

Congrats on retirement Fordguy. Biggest thing I had to learn was it doesn't have to be finished in a day, there is tomorrow. There is also learning to say No. Always someone asking for help, because your retired now. Didn't mind helping with Pony baseball or Boy Scouts, but once my youngest moved on, I had to bow out too... Be sure to set days aside where it is your day. Go for a drive or a car show, see buddies for coffee or Breakfast, or do nothing at all.

Enjoy Sir!

Thanks guys, my wife may a few remodel projects scheduled in there lol
Remodels are hard on marriages, costs lots of $$$$$$ that could be used for bronco related items (possibly including another bronco :) ), travel, food, travel and more travel lol. Enjoy and congrats!!

🤣 Kman, mine went back to work!
She mentions that she misses the shift work I had that gave her "Her Time".
But I know that she appreciates the dinners I cook for her and any number of chores that I have picked up around the house.
The true test, since we are empty nesters now, is when we are both retired and at home together all the time...
