The rearend didn't want to come out, and I need to apologize to my impact gun, but it is out! Some of the bolts were fused to the metal inner bushings, had to break out the air chisel. I need to do some cleanup on the frame and body before I put the new one in. 3 out of 4 bump stop bolts were broken and the previous owner welded a bunch of stuff to the frame for a homemade bumper. Funny, the drum brakes look fantastic on the old one, they must have just changed them before it was parked years ago.

Pulled front bumper for sanding and rattle can paint to cover up some trail damage.

Put goggles on, old clothes, drank just enough beer that it didn't seem miserable, and sprayed degreaser, soap, power washed, and even used a brush some places, and cleaned 20+ years of mud, dirt, gunk and grease out from the underside 😖 It's not a show truck, and still looks a mess, but since I am going to re-do the fuel lines as I switch to EFI and besides I am changing it over to more of a beach cruiser/often driver vs off-road. I figured it would be nice not to have dirt fall in my eyes every time I am doing something.
Then I had to power wash the concrete driveway because it is amazing the amount of filth that comes off when you try o_O

Working on getting rid of squeaks and raddles while trying to watch football. Wrapped all the tools in the tool box and lubed the rear leafs. Much quieter now! Gotta wash the dog now.🐕
