Looking for a little help. I recently purchased a 75 Bronco. It has a 302 with FiTech fuel injection. New to early Broncos. I am planning to pull the body off this weekend to work on the frame. Here is what I have done so far:
Remove Shifter knobs and boot
Disconnect Coolant overflow
Remove Battery tray
Remove Engine ground strap to firewall
Disconnect Engine black ground wire to solonoid
Disconnect Extra ground wire from neg battery terminal
Remove Steering column trim plate
Disconnect Gas filler and vent
Remove E-brake connections
Remove radiator
Remove brake booster and lines
Disconnect steering column and remove linkage
Remove speedometer cable
Disconnect throttle linkage
Disconnect Oxygen sensor from exhaust
Remove heater hoses from firewall
Remove taillight and side marker wiring
Remove 8 body mount bolts

is there anything I am missing before I pull the body?

Thanks.

How are you planning on lifting it?

Just curious, how much does a stripped down body weigh roughly?

I couldn't weigh mine!

Everybody here knows I weigh almost every part.

I ought to start a parts weigh list ‐ - in my spare time when I retire right? :)

African or European body?

jk/ Poor joke, lol

I am interested in this as well.
There’s no such thing as a poor joke from referencing a Monty Python movie! 😉

An empty tub is probably 250 pounds.
Two reasonably healthy adults, preferably with long arms, can carry one around.

A full body with doors and hood and tailgate would probably be in the neighborhood of 450 to 500 I would think. Maybe a bit more because I really don’t remember how much a hood weighs.

I would guess that is weighs enough (in a fully assembled set up) that a John Deere tractor is needed.

HahajAjajHahHA,

You got that right! :)

Any neighbors have scales you can borrow? lol

How about a deep sea fish or halibut weighing scale? That would be tons easier!!
