Who has a source for a 4R70w block plate?

I haven't found a site that sells a block plate that says it is specifically for a 4r70w mated to a small block Ford.......Have you?

The best I can find (and it will work) might be at Summit.

I am searching the same thing. I think of the bell housing fits the block, just about any space should work, right?
it appears as though they fit, c4,c6 and aod. I think the aod bell housing is the same as a 4r70w.

Yes, the C4 block plate, that works with your small block engine, will work with your 4r70w conversion. The issue is that the C4 inspection plate does not mate to the 4r70w....the mounting holes do not line up.

Typically (ideally) you'll get the block plate AND inspection plate with your 4r70w donor transmission.....but that's not always the case, and when that happens guys need a source for the 4r70 block plate & inspection plate.

One site says that you can source one from a 99-01 V6 3.8L Mustang with the 4R (Windsor bolt pattern).

This block plate will mate the 4R70w to a Ford small block. AND the inspection plate is sized to accommodate the 4R70w bolt hole locations.

I think it's the same as the AOD and I'm using this one.

I did have to slightly drill the alignment dowel holes but otherwise fit great.

I think you can use any one that says it's for a 164 tooth flexplate and the one from Summit does as well.
