    66 with Plow

Man... I really wish I the timing on this post was a day or two earlier :( Someone came and took it away yesterday morning. It was a good start to a nice rig and I took a hit with the price I sold it for. I could have probably wracked your brain for more info. If you don't mind I may pass...

    66 with Plow

Believe me, I've been trying. If it wasn't the only wheels I have at the moment I'd have much better luck with that. All in all she's been a pretty good sport about it but getting really tired of carting my arse around everyday... apparently she was under the impression I'd be tearing around...

    66 with Plow

Alright, I've had this truck for about a month. Wife is already giving me a major headache about why I'm not driving it and still dumping money into it. I really don't want to get rid of it but thought I'd see if there is any interest just to appease the wife. So if anyone is...

    Couple of really stupid questions

I first want to apologize for these questions. They are things that are probably old hat to most of you, but bear with me... I'm learning here :-[ The PO disconnected the fuel tank. He said they did this do try and troubleshoot a problem. They installed this little electric fuel pump and...

Looking for an exhaust manifold for a '66 - 170 - 6 Cylinder. Toms has them for $65 bucks used, but if you happen to have one laying around and would rather have a few bucks in your pocket than that old manifold let me know! Also may be interested in other 66 parts. Window cranks, inside...

    carburator question

Thanks for the help guys.. I'm kind of stupid when it comes to this carb stuff. So, the vacuum advance on the dist... It's all hooked up and all that. But how do I know if it's advancing like it's supposed to.. or that the "springs" aren't worn out? Does it actually physically do something I...

    carburator question

Ok, so I rebuilt and cleaned the stock carb today. Didn't seem to make much difference with the problem I'm having? She starts and runs alright with just a touch of choke on, but push the choke all the way in and spit-sputter-dead. Any idea what would cause this? Not sure if this matters...

    air cleaner suggestions

Any advice on a low profile air cleaner set up that will fit under the hood of a 66 with an Autolite 1100 single barrel carb. The PO had this little guy on there (about 5" diameter) that is to high and hits the hood it crunched down the mounting on the carb.. So he just took it off and was...

    picture hosting

thanks for the input, that's kind of what I figured. I don't mind pitching in the couple bucks to be a member and have the ability to upload pictures either. Just seems like not many people post pictures which are always fun to look at and helpful when trying to figure out how to do things...

    picture hosting

I was just wondering... would it be beneficial for anyone on these threads to have a place to host pictures? I know there's all kinds of sites like photobucket and flicker, but would anyone appreciate a hosting site dedicated directly to this whole EB thing? I don't want to distract from...

    Heater blower and stuff..

So the guy I bought this truck from said "these things just don't have heaters". So obviously I had to investigate being that it's about 18 degrees out right now.. Proceeded to tear into the heating system. I found a whole new meaning to the words squirrel cage :o the whole things was...

    carburator question

Honestly I haven't gotten far enough to think about my long term plans for it... I just knew it was a good find and couldn't pass it up :) My initial thought is just to get it running well enough to get me around and fix/rebuild things as time and cash permit.. I'm going to hit up bronco...
