    Dana 44 Lunchbox Locker prices?!?

I went thru two ez lockers(Detroit's version) from about 96-01, broke the spring windows out of both units...apparently 35's was the tire size limit 🤣, as 36" sx's got the first one, 38.5" sx's got the 2nd one in less than a year...full Detroit faired no better at around a year life span🤦‍♂️

    Dana 44 Lunchbox Locker prices?!?

The engagement teeth on the couplers are getting worn down on the edges is the reason it doesn't engagement as aggressively as when new...the life span on a lunch box type locker in the rear is probably 20k miles give or take...installed several in dd type jeeps and they all lasted about that...

    Dana 44 Lunchbox Locker prices?!?

Cool cruiser buggy!! Obviously go where you can find it the cheapest...I run one in the frt of my trail bronco for 3 years, kept breaking the spring windows in them...Obviously you know it's quirks and limitations, from using them..I actually have a spartan nib sitting on a shelf for my next...

To Lock, or Not to Lock... That is the Question

Unless you just have $$$ to spend, with that little amount of dirt time, I would go with a true trac type rear and a ez locker up front.

    Additional SEMA 2024 reporting

I live 60 miles south of Bham, never heard of Vini's hot rods, but would be glad to help them get the rear axle centered🤣...crazy how a shop could spend/commit that much time/$$$ to a sema build and flake on a detail like that.

Uncut Fenders Cutting into rear wheels

Factory springs are shot and have no load carrying capacity, hence the severe drop with very little weight added to the rear...you also either have a wheel off set problem, or axle weight problem if it is rubbing both tires equally...it should never rub that tire size even with worn rear...

Uncut Fenders Cutting into rear wheels

What size tires are on it and what size suspension lift/tires are in your future plans? I'm running a 2.5" suspension/1" body on my uncut 69 with 33x10.50-15 tires and have plenty of clearance. A 1" body will probably suffice short term, but if your bronco still has the factory mounts, be...

Cost of Duff's vs. WH's 1.5" rear leaf springs

Bronco Graveyard sells Deaver springs frt/rear, all the bronco vendors used to sell American made springs...Duffs has always been higher on their parts for some reason, and got worse when they moved to TN.

Tire noise comparison in the same rig...

Did maxxis quit making the razr m/t in a 33x10.50-15? I just mounted a set on factory slots for my uncut build, but I bought them in 21 and had n storage. Brian

Build Thread: 1974 Horse with No Name

Certain gear vendors make thick gears in the 4.10/56/88 that will bolt to the 3.50 gear cases and that will pattern correctly or you can buy a standard thickness 4.10/56/88 and buy the correct case to get those gears to pattern correctly. A 9" gear doesn't matter, any gear ratio works on the...

    Tan sport bronco floor vinyl...

The JBG mats are ACC brand. The carpet kits are nice, the vinyl floor kits are junk! Have installed 3 in 3 different Ford vehicles. EB version was acceptable for my trail rig bronco, the kits I tried installing in a 84 bronco and 82 ford truck didn't come close to fitting correctly even after...

Build Thread: 1974 Horse with No Name

If you are swapping to 4.56 gears, go ahead and install a tru trac up frt,lot easier during the gear installation, than deciding to do it later on, plus you will have to at the minimum buy either a thick gear for the 3.50 case or upgrade to a case for a standard 4.56 gear. Brian

    Helping a Friend

Being in Oklahoma, your about halfway to Colorado compared to myself...being comfortable means adding a 5 speed, ac, and efi to the eb budget, with efi being the biggest hang up cause it seems all the efi kits have their on quirks and I have to much motor for stock Explorer efi.

Tips on moving rear axle back half to three quarters inch

With 30-31" tires(probably 29.5") in real life, why are you wanting to relocate the rear axle? My dad ran 31's on his 69 luber for years on a stock height WH suspension kit,ran logging roads hunting, never any issues...I'm currently rebuilding the rig with a 2.5" suspension/1" body and moved the...

    Helping a Friend

With riding in the area for many years, which bronco do you enjoy driving more there? I have a 69 luber I have been building with the intentions of dragging it out there to hit the trails. But the thought of being able to drive 1100+ miles, hit all the trails and drive back without dealing with...
