    TX Ted Nugent’s 68 Halfcab

I cringed twice looking at the pics. First was when I saw all the diamond plate. Second was when I saw him standing on the hood.

Best way to find tub leaks?

Find some smoke bombs like we used to play with as kids. May have to find someone in South Carolina to send them to you as fireworks, even smoke bombs, can be hard to find. The sulfer in the smoke will stink up your rig for a day or three but you'll quickly find the areas where you have leaks.

So many questions from new member

Welcome. Look below at the roadster website. Roadsters were U13 but should see seat belts, mirrors, etc... https://roadsteru13.com Look at their "Links" and it lists many bronco sites you should visit if you have not already. And this thread should prove...

    1966 Parts Dilemma/Valuation

Since it has not been mentioned yet.......'66 hubcaps are worth a decent amount. Depending on condition you could make your $1000 on just the hubcaps. If you don't have them it would be worth calling to see if they're laying around somewhere back at the cabin.

    Tire rack repair

You may not need new pins but rather new bushings. Original bushings were plastic and had a slit running up the length in a spiral pattern. They also had a lip. If it helps think of a "top hat" shape. Check out Wild Horses website......... TIRE RACK BUSHINGS Item #: 4141...

What is your favorite thing (original or modified) about your Bronco?

I love the sound of the 302/V8 with dual exhaust. Mine's a stock '75 so it's a bit of a turd in terms of horsepower but I love the sound especially when creeping along in a parking lot or in town in traffic.

One part of our hobby that sickens me

Agree 100%. Makes no sense to cut up original, amazingly restored, irreplaceable Broncos like these two when aftermarket bodies are available for $15k.

    Loss of a Bronco Brother

Sad to hear. Good guy. David was very helpful back when I was searching for an EB but couldn't afford any of his. And that's back probably 15 years ago now.

    Denver Bronco worth it?

Can anyone give specifics as to why a Denver would be worth more than say a 10% premium for the fact it's a Denver edition? Any Stroppe parts on it such as steering wheel, bumper braces, transmission adaptor stamped Stroppe, Stroppe roll bar, double shocked, etc. In my mind I'm thinking the...

    Engine compartment paint

Anything but black. Can't see leaks, drips, spills on black as well as any other color. Body color is preferable. Black to me also raises questions as to what is the seller trying to hide.

New battery and all is well. Now thinking of replacing alternator just for peace of mind. Anyone with suggestions for basic, close to stock, replacement please let me know.

    Alternator/battery issue

Thanks. Battery is 8 years old so I will charge it tomorrow and test it to see if 14 volts. I may also take it and have it tested at O'Reilly's or Autozone. If battery tests good I will start trouble shooting the alternator. My thought was if alternator was still working that I could drive...

    Alternator/battery issue

1975 Sport, original/stock except brake booster, headers and a headlight harness upgrade I can't remember the name of but it did help....a little, more with pulsing than brightness. 89k miles on the odometer. Drove the Bronco about half hour last night and noticed my lights were gradually...

    Cost of painting

One thing I would do before leaving any shop AFTER receiving information and a quote.....ask them, "if you couldn't paint your own car who would you have paint it?" Some will BS you but others will shoot you straight. I may be seen as an ass for asking this question but I feel it's a fair...
