That looks like a jeep wheel to me due to the large center. The jeep wheels I have seen usually have kelsey hayes stamped on them somewhere. They made wheels for all sorts of vehicles so who knows they might have been used on certain fords!
The NV3550 is another great 5spd if you like the way it shifts and the fact its out of a Jeep. ;)
They also put different versions of T5's in jeeps, camaros and S10's!
I don't know for sure on the ZF 5 speeds if they have the same problem, but I know the mazda 5 speeds used in F150's are bad about growling due to the bearings that support the main shaft going bad usually due to excessive engine idling.
OX1, must like burnt clutches and lugging underpowered vehicles. The best part of owning a early bronco is not just the looks but the great acceleration and pulling power. I wouldn't give up my 4.11 gears and 31.1050s for nothing.
