I have a 1974 bronco for sale. Here are the spec's; 67000 miles 302 engine Runs great. C4 trans. Rebuild last fall. Around 2000 miles on it. New 33x12.50 BFG tires. New black 10 inch steel rims. Tilt steering colum out of 1979 F-150. Hooker headers Twin Stick Dana 20 Soft Top. ( Not the best of...

Check your modulator valve. Is your vacum line hooked up? This is the first place I would start.

Jack up the front until both tires are off the ground and turn the wheels back and forth lock to lock. Do it with the motor running.

Fixed Got it fixed. The problem was the engine backing plate. The hole for the starter was very tight. I enlarged the hole about 1/6 and the noise is gone. Thanks for all your help guys!!!!!

Ok I tried the shim and that did not work. The starter would not engage the flywheel. Any ideas out there????
