The bronco body tapers bigger as it gets to the rear. Rear is something like 66" wide and the front is around 61" if I recall correctly. Maybe you're seeing the difference in where the tires are in relation to the body? Axles should be 58.5" in front and 58" out back.

Agreed. That is a great place for a rod end. Every other joint in this type of suspension set up should be a bushing; at least at all the axle side connections. Otherwise there will be a ton of bind on the axle housing.

Have you flexed it yet? I tried a similar set up on a buggy I built years ago and, as was said, it didn't want to flex. There needs to be some give somewhere. If the links or joints don't give the axle housing will. The links try to twist the housing in opposite directions when the suspension...
