Question after adding 4 wheel disc brakes

The bronco body tapers bigger as it gets to the rear. Rear is something like 66" wide and the front is around 61" if I recall correctly. Maybe you're seeing the difference in where the tires are in relation to the body? Axles should be 58.5" in front and 58" out back.

Haven't been here in a while...

Good catch! It sure is the poser rock right after the first obstacle on spring creek. It was my shakedown run. I drove the bronco on the highway up there, wheeled the hardest stuff it offers and drove it back home. I guess you could say I was pretty confident in my build to drive it there and...

Haven't been here in a while...

My bronco is done with this round of upgrades. Has been for a couple months now. I went a little crazy on it and ended up with 40 spline rear shafts with a load bolted 3rd member and spidertrax housing. Ditched the coilovers and went with Oris front and rear. I'm happy to report it now drives...

Thanks! You're right. I really want to drive it on the street. I still cruise it around town, just nothing above 45 m.p.h.

Haven't been here in a while...

I haven't been on the site for a while now. Life gets busy so I browsed occasionally but haven't posted in a while. I still have my bronco. I think the last postings I had about it were while I was narrowing the body 10". That has been done for about 8 years now and I have just been enjoying the...

I can. Most of this stuff is pretty big and heavy though so it may kill the price.

CO Early bronco crawler parts for sale!

I've stepped up to 40s and a 60-9 front axle with full hydro so all my old parts are no longer needed! First up. My old Dana 44. It is complete from hub to hub. Loaded with chromoly axles and Yukon super joints, 5.13 gears, full Yukon spool, riddled diff cover and Ford disc brakes. Came out...

Saved it! It was a bit rowdy but fun! Won the competition for my class with that move.

Let's see your CHEAP paint jobs..

Here is my rattle can job. It's not perfect but it's great for something I bounce off of rocks with.

    radius arm build tech

Now you threw out a different link set up than this is. I was simply referring to THIS set up. In this set up(upper link and lower link 100% vertical at the axle end with a single plane of angle when articulating) there will be bind based on design. The TJ and JK s put the upper link at a fairly...

Agreed. That is a great place for a rod end. Every other joint in this type of suspension set up should be a bushing; at least at all the axle side connections. Otherwise there will be a ton of bind on the axle housing.

Have you flexed it yet? I tried a similar set up on a buggy I built years ago and, as was said, it didn't want to flex. There needs to be some give somewhere. If the links or joints don't give the axle housing will. The links try to twist the housing in opposite directions when the suspension...

Bronco Safari.... Who else can't wait??

I reserved a VRBO as well. Really nice to have a full kitchen and garage to keep the Bronco covered at night!

    Anyone used an Auto transporter?

A very good friend of mine is a car hauler. He has a brand new Chevy HD and 38 foot enclosed, raised roof trailer. He would probably give you a great deal and is reliable and safe. Give him a call at 720-299-9911. His name is James. Tell him Jason sent you.
