    Intimidated by my dash...

Just pulled mine to repaint as part of my interior restoration. Lots of good threads here. It's not nearly as bad as it appears.

Anyone with the WH retractable 3-point seal belts...

I actually didn't install mine. I noticed that they were too long before I installed them. Researching some alternatives now.

Anyone with the WH retractable 3-point seal belts...

Glad to know that I'm not the only one. Mine are even longer. I couldn't even drill the holes high enough as I'd run out of roll bar. I figure I could maybe take the belts to a seamstress and have 10 inches removed but I need to make sure there is still enough belt left to buckle. Anyone have...

Anyone with the WH retractable 3-point seal belts...

Would appreciate your help. When yours are retracted, do the sit tight against your roll bar? I bought a set and the seem too long. Double over, they are 40" long bolt hole to bolt hole. WH suggests mounting the upper bolt 35" up the roll bar. At that placement, I have 5 inches of slack. I...

    Tool set shopping: suggestions?

I agree that Craftsman isn't what it used to be. But I still think it's the best value for weekend mechanics. I love the Snap on stuff but just can't justify the prices. I have probably $10k into Craftsman. I can only imagine what I would have spent to get all Snap on!

Where are my fuel tanks located?

Thanks, guys. Good info. Not at my shop tonight so couldn't get under it. Appreciate everyone's input.

Where are my fuel tanks located?

I've got the rig torn down for a full interior restoration. Pretty much everything is being replaced and I'm adding a few items. Got new carper holddowns, a roll bar, seat belts and some stereo components that'll be mounted on the floor and I'm wondering where the gas tanks are located? I think...

any custom grills? lets see some pictures!

Found a link with the procedure. Looks like I just cut out the bracket and bend the tabs in for mounting. I have to do this...

any custom grills? lets see some pictures!

I just restored my grill and really hate thos thick rubbber mounts on the turn signal lenses. It looks like the lenses you used, earlier style, install without using the rubber mounts? Is that correct? What kind of modifications did you have to do?

    Finished a few upgrades (photos)

Yeah. I saw it. It does look nice. But I just love that tank sitting on the fender. So Bronco...

    Finished a few upgrades (photos)

I got lucky. I calleed BCB first and found out about the backorder. Then I called Wild Horses about some other parts and I asked about their headers. They were also backordered. But, they told me, they had a brand new set of the BC Broncos headers in stock. Like winning the lotto considering I'd...

    Finished a few upgrades (photos)

So we've spent the last few weeks doing a few upgrades on my new 1974 uncut baby. First thing was to upgrade the manual brakes and steering. Ended up going all the way with the 4-wheel disc power upgrade from Tom's. Also used their complete power steering kit. Hit a few bumps along the way but...

Question: Non-egr Edelbrock manifold on my '74?

Mine did. Trying to figure out if I want to go with the standard non-egr manifold and delete the egr. Seems to be opinions on both sides. I also want to run an edelbrock carb. Not sure it will even matter if I keep the egr if I'm running an aftermarket carb.

Help- what is the range for a new 2 stage paint job for EB?

They're very good. They specialize in German cars (they're doing a Porsche for me) but I've seen everything, including a helicopter, in their shop. They're very slow, which I consider to be a good thing. Slow = attention to detail. Talk to Joey out there and I think you'll come away impressed.

Help- what is the range for a new 2 stage paint job for EB?

Sterling in Dripping Springs. They're about to paint another car I'm restoring. For what it's worth, I agree with others here that paint prices have gone thru the roof in the last several years. Not sure if that's true or it's just my perception but prices seem much higher than just the cost...

Help- what is the range for a new 2 stage paint job for EB?

Really depends on the quality of the job and the reputation of the shop. For a high quality re-spray, $6k is not a terrible price. Here in Austin, the shop I'd probably use would be north of $10k easy.

Question: Non-egr Edelbrock manifold on my '74?

I'm thinking about installing an Edelbrock Peformer intake and one of their 500cfm carbs on my '74 Bronco 302. I'm having difficulty determining which manifold I need. My Bronco (CA car) still has the egr but the rest of the smog eqiupment has been removed. If I want to delete the egr, do I...
