What is the redline of an original 302 from 73?

Been running the Summit 8500 for several years now. Easy tune and always starts with a touch of the key. Believe they make a 600 or even bigger.

I like the padded metal as the plastic zip ties get brittle and break. I have used both self drill/tap and threaded machine screws to attach.

I know this an old thread, but I have to replace my old Bestop rag top. Trying to decide if I should go back to the hard top when I stumbled across this. I would love to hear from anyone who has done this mod. Does it leak? Does it billow up like the ragtop and flap going 70 down the highway...

Used their kit years ago when I did my NV3500 swap. Worked seamlessly for me.

Check and clean all grounds. So important that they are clean and tight.

Check all grounds and make sure they are clean and well connected. Corrosion/rust can really play havoc with this. All my gremlins have been traced back to a grounding issue. Good luck.

Have had one since 2005, no notch on the 302. Never a problem.

Looking for a Best Top soft top as my 17 yo top has had it. I have all the frame components, but will look at any color, with or without frame. Let me know what you have as I am not ready to return to the hardtop. Brent
