Spud shaft demoval

An someone tell me how to remove the spud shaft and gear from the trans adapter housing. Switching from L6 to V8 and bought the longer adapter and it came with spuds shaft in it with gear exposed . I already have one in the transfer case. I need to get the one out of the adapter so I can mate...

Difference in 3.03

Have a 66 that was all original, pulled the 170 with 3 speed to rebuild and scrap guy took my 3 speed by mistake . I’ve got another that came with a 302 I bought to upgrade the 6. Code is HEF . My question is can I change the output shaft on this trans to fit the Bronco?
