    Half cab seatbelts

I mounted retractable 3-point seat belts in my half cab with a bench seat. I have the Bailie Bilt interior roll bar. It was bit tricky as I had to fabricate some offset mounting points. But it is doable!

    C4 expert

Thanks @pcf_mark! That is kind of what I was thinking/hoping that it is the pressure valve spring. I haven't had a chance yet to see if the small spool piece that goes on the end of the spring is/was anywhere in the transmission. I should have taken a picture of where this spring was, it was...

    C4 expert

Does anyone happen to have a bronco C4 transmission manual or detailed parts diagram they can share? I got a 1971 U14 that the PO converted to automatic (I believe the transmission was from a 75 bronco) and the infamous "don't worry it was professionally rebuilt" promise from the PO. Driving...

Explorer swap Power steering HELP!!! I’m stuck!

I had the similar problem, you may try a different fitting on the pressure side of the pump. On mine that was it, I believe I first used the Russell brand fitting that threads into the power steering pump, but turns out it would thread in too far so it kept the relief valve open and not allowing...

Thanks Pa PITT! I will see if I can track him down and see what his plans are with it. Thanks!

    AR Halfcab bulkhead

I do think some re-manufactures are better than others. But original parts always seem to fit better. Thanks!

    AR Halfcab bulkhead

You are probably correct, but factory parts just usually fit better than the reproduction ones. But finding one that isn't a piece of rust art, maybe the trick! lol

    AR Halfcab bulkhead

Before I order a new one, thought I would check to see if anyone has a good condition bulkhead laying around for a 1971 Halfcab. Thanks! Nick

Where slack in gears is coming from

Great idea, it could be. This bronco does have a ididit steering column in, installed by PO. So fingers crossed maybe that's it. I will try again this evening!

Where slack in gears is coming from

I think it must be the park prawl or related. rolling in the garage on flat ground it will move 2-3 feet. But I can hear clicking which I assume is the park prawl trying to engage.

Where slack in gears is coming from

Thanks Paul, I will try those when I get home and see where the culprit really lies. Not a detroit locker, but it does have the factory limited slip differential in the rear.

Where slack in gears is coming from

When I get home, I will try on the flat garage and roll the bronco, then pull the rear of the driveshaft off the axle and see how much how much slack is truly on the differential side or is the transmission/transfer case side. Thanks for the input.

Where slack in gears is coming from

I recently picked up another bronco. 1971 351W, c4 transmission, Dana 20 transfer case and factory 4.11 gears in the axles. 35x12.50x17 wheel setup on Duff 5.5 inch lift. When I place in park on the slightest incline, the entire bronco will roll almost 18-24" before "park" catches and holds the...

    FL Mickey Thompson Classic ii

MT only? or would you consider a similar wheel? I will have to confirm the brand, because the bronco is at the tire shop right now getting new wheels/tires. But I'm talking off 15x10 procomp's that look like the Classic II's. Has like new (800 miles on them, purchased last April) Cooper...
