Will Bronco Script Valve Covers Clear Roller Rockers?

I tried them on my 351 with roller rockers and they did not fit. They might fit with some rockers but not the ones I have.

    Door pillar cheat or disaster?

I think your idea would be a good starting point but I wouldn't fully weld anything until you tested for door sag.

    Stroppe Bronco on BAT

Stroppe isn't even listed on some '71 reports which is weird because these two were built 10 days apart. Here's mine on the left and this one on the right. Something else I thought was interesting is mine's a U152 and this one is a U150. Do you guys know how common one was vs the other for...

    Stroppe Bronco on BAT

I'm rebuilding the rear axle on my March of '71 Baja right now and had a good laugh at the weld quality on the added shock mounts.... I thought "good help must have been hard to find even back then". I left all the welds as is knowing that they've held up this long and it would be stupid to...

    Stroppe Bronco on BAT

Do the later ones still have the "STROPPE" trans adapters or did Ford just start shipping them with the auto trans when it became an option in the Bronco? Something I've always wondered but never got around to asking anyone.

    My 73 Baja thread

This is so awesome. This is so close to my Baja story (which you've seen on another thread). I bought mine in 1996 in Denver just to have a 4x4 daily driver while I lived in Breckenridge. I too didn't know anything about Bill Stroppe and nobody really cared about what a Baja Bronco was. It...

    Original Paint??

This should probably go in the for sale section but I figured I'd post it here for anyone interested. I was having a hard time putting a value to it so I figured an auction might be best. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-ford-bronco-37/

    Original Paint??

Thanks for the input guys. I should have done this before starting this thread but I picked up a paint thickness gauge and the majority of the interior and exterior paint is right around 2-4mil. Some area read 0 which I assume is thinner than the gauge is calibrated for and some areas like the...

    Original Paint??

Question on this seam... would it have originally been filled with a seam sealer and then painted over because that's how it is now.

    Original Paint??

Yes, I should have mentioned that the white on the grill and the FORD on the tailgate were repainted white by the previous owner but the FORD was done pretty poorly so I removed it. I plan to redo it but haven't yet.

    Original Paint??

The VIN decal and glove box plate are there so I know it's the original color, just can't decide on if the exterior was resprayed. Nice catch on the tailgate latch. I did paint that because it was replaced with a scratched up red one by the previous owner. I happen to have the correct paint...

Here are some close ups. The Paint OK stamps are a nice touch but the question still remains..

    Original Paint??

Hey Guys... Dumb question but humor me. I bought this '72 last summer and I've always considered it to be original paint but now I'm planning on selling it and I don't want to make that claim because I really don't know. This post obviously won't clear it up 100% but I just want some more eyes...

CA Will someone educate me on this one?

Definitely. My guess is $80k but it's BAT so probably $150k ;D

CA Will someone educate me on this one?

Yeah I don't get it either. I was watching this one really closely because I submitted this original paint '72 and they would only give me a $36,500 reserve. I guess that's a fair reserve but I'm not sure why that one would get an $80k reserve especially after looking close at the paint work...

Wow yeah that's very similar to my story. Luck us I guess haha. Yours was across the street but there were always vehicles for sale in the Walmart lot and I almost bought a Scout before I found the Bronco. Almost bought a Fj40 too but glad I decided on a Bronco. I'll see if I can find some old pics.

Great info C_Man69EB . Thanks for replying. Looks like ours were ordered 9 days apart and sold 10 days apart from dealers that were 18 miles apart. Cool stuff. The back story on mine is... I bought mine in Denver in 1996 for $2600 not knowing anything about Bronco's or Baja's for that...
