I removed the sending unit and test the ohms and had a range of 9-79. I figured the sender just is giving readings out of the 10-70 ohms. I bent the the lever a bit to see if it would adjust the range and I think I damaged it. Now it just reads 0. Where does the gauge cluster get it’s ground from?

I am getting 52 ohms at the sender at the gas tank. How do I test the ohms near the gauge? The orange wire?

I’ve read so many forums on trouble shooting fuel gauges. Here is my situation. When gas tank is full it marks full. As I drive after a few miles it goes slowly to empty and eventually empty. It’s not. It’s about half full. I go to the gas station and it takes another 7 gallons until the pump...

Thank to everyone. What a difference a small thing can be overlooked when building a car as the importance of a gasket and not just getting what was in stock.

Installed remflex and the pop is gone! So is the ticking noise. What I noticed is that the first paper gasket has the hooks to hang on the outside bolts where Remflex doesn’t thus giving more seal in the area where it leaked.

They actually weren’t. I wonder how the gasket just made blew on one part and created a tunnel

I added a picture. It did carve out a section of the gasket. Regular fel-pro. Should I upgrade the gasket?

So I just pulled each spark plug wire with the engine running and the rpms drop a little with each cylinder head so the new wires seem good. The exhaust is a Walker. Wasn’t ver expensive. It’s idles and drives like a champ just has that popping sound when giving it high revs or when changing...

How big of a exhaust leak would cause a loud pop?

Ok this is the best I can do alone with my phone. I can also wait for someone to give it fuel while I record from underneath. If you look closely, I added exhaust cement repair where the exhaust welds were in hopes of covering a possible leak.
