In the 66 I used to have I just used a piece of heavy galvanized steel from the "gate hardware" aisle. It was 1/4" thick, 90 degree bend with a reinforcing rib. I just drilled a hole in it and mounted it to an existing bolt. Total cost something like $1.95. Dean

I did the same thing (Tevas, then closed valve). I also pull the defrost control so that most of the air is run up to windshield rather than down to feet. Dean

I've wondered this myself. I haven't looked at the tag on the axle; but, according to the info on the glovebox door I have the 4950(?)GVW axle, 3.50 gears, limited slip ('73). Is this BB? 28 or 31? I'm pretty sure none of the PO changed the rear. Dean

I forgot to mention that my rig is unlifted but a PO installed some C bushings and radius arm bushings. They are blue, almost a bright blue. Could these be affecting anything?
