F100 steering box too close to radiator

PO “relieved” the bottom corner of my radiator with a hammer to get the one on my 1973 to fit. That lead to a leak radiator replacement and all new steering box,ps pump and steering shaft. Those boxes are old big and heavy. Best bet is to swap it out for a box that mounts in factory location...

Spewing oil ontop of driver side valve cover-HELP

Maybe oil pressure sending unit/fittings/line? I’ve had the sending unit extender things come loose or crack and squirt oil in odd places. Same with line to mechanical oil pressure gauge. One came with nylon line that cracked within a month and sent oil all over. Or possibly a power steering...

Had similar issue after installing new 2.5 inch lift. Did the following in order and got incremental improvements in handling each time. 1) New track bar drag link and steering box. Made sure everything was tight and no frame damage. 2) Added new tires. Had professional alignment and toe...

    Anybody know what this is?

Just a heads up that edlebrock part you link Is huge. I tried one for my air cleaner to attach to my oil cap vent. It takes a really big internal diameter hose think it was 3/4. I ended up making my own from a brass barbed elbow. Cheaper and came out way better.

    Help with twitchy/jerky feeling suspension

The way I read it is those numbers were as far as alignment shop could get it adjusted. So with that toe it’s a surprise he can drive it at all.

    Help with twitchy/jerky feeling suspension

Does it have adjustable drag link? That will get toe issue fixed. That is part of the problem. Then the list of things to work on begins. I started with 2.5 lift and new track bar and drag link then new tires. and a professional alignment. Then to 7 degree bushings. Then to drop pitman arm and...

    Removing 2.5 inch lift kit

Wouldn’t trust that shop if they don’t know that. Even a quick google search will show you what a stock radius arm looks like.

    Rear shackle help

I usually just call the vendor. Tom’s,WH,duffs are all super helpful with tech support/install input and info whenever I’ve run into a problem (which is usually me over thinking the situation).

Adjusting/Changing Power Steering Pump on recent PS + HB Conversion

I used same ps from Tom’s. Had same issue with steering feeling too light/easy. An alignment and toe adjustment helped and then I added drop pitman arm and track bar drop bracket and that helped even more. Have it right about where I want now.

    Aluminum valve covers leaking

I just installed new cast aluminum ford valve covers and used the felpro rubber with wire insert gaskets and arp stud bolts with some loctite. Think the studs made the difference in allowing the gasket to line up perfectly. Also used the triangle things that spread the pressure out. Didn’t go...

    Need Exhaust Advice

I just did the duffs 2-1 exhaust. I went with the magnaflow. Love it. Had some ancient flowmasters on my old dual exhaust. Probably 40s and I didn’t realize how obnoxious they were. With the magnaflow the cab is silent no drone. Has a decent low rumble but not loud. The flows sounded like cans...

Having trouble getting tires mounted and balanced

Twice I’ve gone to Americas Tire with my own wheels and purchased tires that they mounted and balanced. They just unboxed the wheels while I watched and made sure they looked ok. No issues with the mounting and balance. Two different shops and both were extremely helpful and friendly. They...

    Which complete wire harness?

I had zero experience with anything wiring or electrical related and had no problems with the painless harness. Looked overwhelming but just went step by step. Only issue was with two switches being bad right out of the box. And they aren’t kidding when they say most issues are related to bad...
