    4 link, ORI's, narrowed D60w/only 2.5" lift, 5"+WB stretch, 2" floor lower, P/S....,

That would work but it's really just grounding braid. Are you now thinking you need to shield the wires to the ignition coils?

Crank sensor needed, 3 wire, Hall Effect. Something US made?

    ^^^ this. Best idea yet.

Crank sensor needed, 3 wire, Hall Effect. Something US made?

Hall prox sensors are pretty generic. Main things are environmental protection suitable for the location, and input voltage. The Holley sensor that Ben linked should work fine, and it will likely have a signal that the TerminatorX expects. I'm guessing that it would be entirely compatible with...

Where to install trans temp gauge

Fair enough, Mark is obviously an expert on automatics, but there are only 3 replies by him in that forum thread and other than mentioning that the pressure port is the most accurate reading, he doesn't really explain anything. For example, why putting a sensor in the pan could be misleading...

Call me when you have a chance, Brian. I have lots of mil-spec multi conductor twisted shielded cable. Probably 22 or 20 gauge, which should be fine for your purposes. I can send you some. Thom's and Ben's comments about shielding and wire routing are spot on.

Where to install trans temp gauge

My pleasure, and I look forward to (someday) learning how it works. Do you know what, in mathematics, an asymptotic function is? Right now it seems like that pretty well describes my build. I keep getting closer but never seem to get there.

Where to install trans temp gauge

So fun to get everyone riled up :) I think I will put it in the pan, easy enough. Just need to wait until I figure out what the transmission crossmember will look like.

Where to install trans temp gauge

I'm in the midst of installing a 4R70W transmission fluid temperature gauge along with said transmission. Seems that there is some disagreement about where to put the sensor. The pressure port ahead of the shift selector on the left side would be easy since it's drilled/tapped 1/8NPT. Sensor...

    5.0 Intake port question?

Not me. But that is a blast from the past. He was the inspiration for a lot of the things I did on my Bronco, way back when. Like, oh, almost 25 years ago.

    5.0 Intake port question?

ooohh aahh, thanks, Doug. The grommet in my lower intake is sloppy. Will attempt to track down the official Ford part. As for the hose, I'm using fuel/oil compatible generic hose on my Trick Flow intake. Which has the port at the back, as described in Garry's video.

    5.0 Intake port question?

Nice video, Garry, and I gave it a thumbs up :) That's exactly how my 5.0 was plumbed (used OEM Mustang 5.0 valve covers and Explorer upper/lower) and how my current 408 is plumbed, using EFI-compatible Ford Performance valve covers, sealed with port on the oil fill tube etc. I don't have one...

    5.0 Intake port question?

Here I go again hijacking @gnsteam's thread- maybe should start a new one- but would be nice to ID valve covers with a PCV port and oil filler location that are mass flow EFI compatible and fit under a Ford EFI style intake. Preferably without having to buy 50 different valve cover sets from...

    EFI Guy wiring harness question?

I can vouch that, stock at least, upstream plugs are green. And if EFI guy put the harness together they will normally be emerging from the engine harness, not the transmission harness.

    5.0 Intake port question?

Was just looking at Summit for valve covers. Not surprisingly, there are eleventeen bazillion (seriously, that's a vague but finite number) valve cover choices. Ideal would be ones with a baffled PCV port on one side and a breather port that can be blocked with an oil filler tube with port for...

Aftermarket AC systems never have fresh air options that I've seen. I came up with a semi- workaround on mine that I would show you later this week if only the dang thing was drivable.

    5.0 Intake port question?

Thanks for the link! I didn't even realize that such a thing existed. Sometimes I get into a linear thinking mode, like in this case. Gee, the PCV valve is in the back of the lower intake, so I have to keep it there and live with it. Except, no I don't. Besides (hopefully) reducing oil...

    5.0 Intake port question?

Mind sharing a pic or two of how you hooked things up? As in, what valve covers, and how did you seal things up so it only vents into the throttle body. I'm using a Trick Flow R intake but same thing, PCV at the back of the lower intake and it sucks oil like crazy despite being well-baffled...

Question for those that have done the explorer pump 6.0 upgrade

Keep in mind I did the mod as an experiment ages ago but my go-to pump is one salvaged from a junkyard in Seattle around 2005. It’s run on my Bronco since then for about 150,000 miles, 35” tires and hydroboost the entire time. Dang thing just keeps working. No whining (unlike me) and while I...

Explorer 5.0 no harness or ecm

I might be able to help. I just pulled the EEC-IV (OBD 1) harness out of my Bronco. It was originally a Ford Racing harness, really just a 1993 Mustang 5.0 harness, that I bought new from Ford in 2001. Four years later I modified it so I could run EDIS. It requires a chip in the computer to flip...
