I remember when u had it up for sale... I had a buddy looking for a project and this would've been a great truck! Glad you're holding on to it and can't wait to see how it turns out!

I’ve been gone for three weeks so was excited to see this progress. The tail gate was strained out and gets liner on the inside this afternoon. I’ll bring it back to the shop Thursday.

Good and bad looks. I’m still impressed by how solid things like the doors are but then I look in the windshield and see there no nut to screw into. Any ideas on a fix for this?

I bought one of these and love it. Put the nut where ever you want;

I don't think that would work. It would have to be done on the front surface of the windshield since the existing hole goes through the inner panel and one interior panel. I am wondering if there was a nut tack welded in there that popped off and is inside the cavity still.

Done in the bottom side

New drive shafts front and rear, including new spicer output yoke on the front. That pretty much much wraps up the under side refurbishing. On to the interior. Leaving the engine bay for last.

I hated to cut good metal but had to fish out the backing plates for the windshield frame. I cut new plates to weld back in with fabbed retainer pieces on the back. I’ll weld them in tomorrow. Thanks for the link, Langester.

There are a few imperfections but I think this acceptable for skill level. Now I can start putting the dash back in.
