Sending Unit for 23 gallon tank
City: Phoenix Price: $50 shipped
I'm selling my reed switch sending unit for a 23 gallon tank. Brand new - unused. I'm going another route since I have a BC/Sherman tank.

Please share the route you are taking, I also have the BC Broncos 23g tank and will like to have a more precise measurement of how much gas remains in the tank.

I got one of the low profile Tanks Inc. units to try - certainly more expensive than hylndr's option at this point. I just got it about an hour ago, opened it up, and realized it's an ISSPRO unit. The low profile top and potting over the connections make it ideal for the BC tank with limited head clearance. I got one that is 14" long.

Todd,
Are you referring to one of their Universal floatless sending units? You mentioned their low profile version and I didn't see anything with that description so just making sure I'm following correctly.
Do you happen to know the diameter of the hole for the tube that drops into the tank?
And have you installed yours yet?
Thank you for the information

Yes, I am. The diameter of the hole is 1 3/8". I pulled my tank over the weekend in hopes of installing the unit and then discovered, much to my dismay, that I had goofed on the sending unit measurement and my 14" sender was about 1/4-3/8" too long. So if you're going to get one for a BC tank, get a 13" one! They're about 4 wks out right now on the 13" units and I need to get my truck back together so I'm going to punt for now.

Wow great stuff thank you. I had almost pulled the pin on ordering one after your post but thought I would check in just to be sure. I'm sorry for your issue, but can't say I'm not happy that you kept me from making the same mistake.
Probably the same issue with the other version of the prototype senders that started this thread too then.
Thanks so much for sharing the intel. I have a new BC tank, so 13" it is.
